Default 2000 v6 instrument panel bulb to led

Im trying to change my stock instrument panel 161 bulbs to blue LEDs. I cant find any info on such a tiny bulb. T10 LEDs are way to big. Thanks

And I think white bulbs will be blue because of something in the panel itself. You should look that up. Im not sure thats true. I use some MAC white face reverse glow faces. Shame mine only light up about 1 in 20 times lol. Got a short somewhere I never have fixed in 7 years.

That's what I'm trying to do..... Looks awesome. I thought the 161 bulbs were T10. I ordered 5 T5's last night. After what's his name sent me those two links. Ive heard about the green film ford uses on the back of the face. You didn't have to sand yours down? I was just trying to install bulbs. I just changed my AC heater face bulbs and my shifter assembly light to blue T10's. The AC plate took two bulbes and the shifter takes on. My duct switch came out a weird color but the fan and cool side came out blue. Ill look up those parts you got from eBay. I plan on changing all my idiot lights to blue also. Same size bulbs, right??

Keep in mind your odometer will not be blue unless you scrape the film off....and its delicate.

I like the look of led's, but afraid it will be to bright. Does the dimmer still work with the led bulbs.

Excuse me mrwitty_1. My instrument panel looks just like your picture. Just put the LEDs in tonight. However, i noticed the needle on the RPMs and speedometer are a bit difficult to see.... I changed the 5 bulbs in the center. Im not certain why it has 5 but i was wondering if I had one LED not getting power. Maybe one LED goes to those needles???? Any idea or is it just a normal occurrence? I'm just gonna live with it. Definitely not going back to green!!!!

Hope they answer because my needles are nice and bright but the rest rarely come on.
