There are no pre made exhaust systems to find in Sweden, no company want to import anything for a Thunderbird as it was newer sold by any dealer.

All Thunderbirds 89-97 in Sweden are private imports.

My intention is to fit 200cell/sq" metallic 2,5" or 3" race cat directly at headers and behind 2 separeted 2,5" pipes and low restriction silencers instead of the stock fake dual exhaust system.

I don't want any crossover systems, itīs a very small gain from them like 1-2% in torque at a mall srange between 3200-3400 rpm, but it kills the genuine V8 sound very efficiently.

I have a x-pipe on my mustang and it still has a throaty sound to it, doesn't it help equalize pressure between the two cylinder banks as well?

Well,.. Yes, it equalizes pressure between the two cylinder banks, itīs the general idea, and by that it should decrease exhaustrestriction in the rear system and mufflers.

I Believe all version 89-97 Thunderbirds are defined as Sport Coupé, the 3,8 V6 and 4,6 V8 (LX), the supercharged 3,8 V6 was called a "Super Sport Coupé" by Ford.

Iīm not sure but I have seen Thunderbird SSC 3,8 lit with supercharger, Thunderbird SC 3,8 lit aspirated, and Thunderbirs LX 4,6 lit.
I got no Idea what LX stands for, but SC stands for Sport Coupe, and SSC stands for Supersport Coupe.
I sincerly doubt there are any big differences in equipment, or in the body or drivetrain so whay remains is the engine.

Looks like there was only the Super Coupe and the LX, I didn't realize they came with 302 windsors for a bit

I finaly got all my parts together, headers from US, 200 cell metalic cat from Germany, pipes and Tools, and the plan is to go uppcountry where I stored the car at 1 july.

It is about the same latitude as Skagway in USA, so the summer commes late.
Itīs realy all that bothers.

If I coud lay hands on some hottter cams for a decent price, it be at my wish list.

Can you use the PI heads and cams from the 99+ mustangs on thunderbird 4.6's? Seems like they should be pretty similar, that would wake it up. And I'm in Canada so I know the late summers, it snowed on Thursday lol
