Default Customized X-Charger intake

I just finished doing a custom Ford Racing Bullitt style intake install for my X-Charger.

This took quite a bit of thought and work including creating a custom intake piece mating the Ford Racing filter flange to an X-Charger HiPo MAF housing, creating an intake tube from a BMW carbon fiber aftermarket piece, etc.

I am extremely pleased with the results, both in looks and performance:

I'd like to extend a thanks to my buddy Pedro down in TX (Cubican on the boards) for sharing his advice and experience doing a similar project on his car, and cutting me a good deal on some spare bits and pieces for the project.

Looks good Paul, what all did you have to change to make the BMW part work?

Thanks

I dunno about HP/TW gains. I'm suspicious of "butt dyno" estimates, even my own. It does feel more responsive to the throttle though (the old tube was rubber with lots of corrugations inside, the new one is smooth as glass inside)

Basically trim it down in the right places, and fabricate a breather connection.

thinking about getting a x charger in the coming year or so, need to save a bit and do some other to prep for the FI. just wondering what kind of hp and tq are we looking at with the x charger on the 4.0s? are we talking 90hp gains or more?
