Ordered a crank pulley and new bolt for V6
I can't drive it til I fix it,so with these beautiful days going by us I took steps to get my 05 vert back.
My pulley's wobbling too much to trust it. I watched some youtube today and ordered the crank pulley and new bolt from TascaFordparts.com
Total, with expensive(22.00) shipping was still only 116 dollars for OEM parts.
I didn't think that was too bad.Hopefully I'll get it done when I get off in 10 days or so. don-ohio

Well, believe it or not, I just yesterday, the 19th of July got that harmonic balancer replaced.
The car had been in storage for 6 months thru the winter as we were in our newly acquired home in FL until this May.
Well, I started the job on the 18th with a new puller from Advance Auto. BUT,the puller bolt broke in one of the only two holes, so I got a three jaw puller out and it WORKED! I looked all over youtube and couldn't see a 4.0 V6 where a 3 jaw puller was used.
Boy was I relieved. But tightening that torque to yield crank bolt was tricky, since there's no way to lock the flywheel teeth without removing the starter, which I did.
I finished up today and all's well....no more wobbly pulley.
