Default 88 lx convetible Rocker Panel Replacement

Just got car recently as a winter project (probably lifetime project) and need to replace rocker panels on both sides among other things. Body shop guy told me use RP's made with +20 gauge material. Parts dealers I've contacted either can't tell me what gauge their panels are or they are 18 gauge. Is there such a thing out there as rocker panels made of 20 ga metal.
Thanks, Steve

Not sure. Ive heard mixed reviews on the reproduction rockers. I redid my wrecked car with parts from people here and off ebay.

Check out a place here in NC called Out to Pasture Pony Parts. Guy running it is Sam Poteet and hes always parting foxes and SN cars.

Also just a side note 18 gauge is thicker than 20 gauge.

well 20 gauge is thinner than 18 so i dunno why he would want a thinner rocker?
