Default Intake, Straight Pipe, Tuned 3V Dyno Results

Just got my 06 GT on the dyno today! I put down 286 WHP and 298 WTQ on a Mustang Dyno. My mods are MBRP Muffler Delete, Pypes Off Road H-Pipe, JLT S3 Cold Air Intake and Lito Tune. Was wondering how these numbers stack up with other guys? I feel like they are just about average. Definitely want to look into Cams + Headers soon. Hopefully ill be able to get about 330 WHP with those mods. My brothers 03' Mach 1 dynoed at exact same HP but +2 TQ. He has BBK LTH's, SLP LM1 Catback, Dyno Tune, and K&N CAI. Pretty happy with my GT!

Ps: Mach 1 curve is in darker colors, GT is lighter colors.

Mustang Dyno numbers are usually on the conservative side (I'd have expected about 298rwhp & 310rwtq on a Dynojet) so I wouldn't be concerned so much about the absolute numbers, but rather about the spread of torque over the rpm range. Looks like you have maximum HP at 6200rpm and maximum TQ at 4400rpm.

The 4.6 3V and 4V engines are more or less equal performance-wise at high rpm, but the 3V has the 4V licked at lower rpm.
Keep in mind that adding cams will produce a torque loss below 5000rpm (roughly 15-20lbft less in the 1500-3000rpm highway cruising range) so if you do decide upon a cam swap, plan on swapping in higher ratio axle gears as well if you haven't already.

Good point. Lucky for me previous owner installed 4.10 gears as well.
