Default Transmission leak or leaks.... 96 mustang 3.8l

I have a 96 convertible mustang that is hemorrhaging transmission fluid. The person I got it from had put an 04 3.8 engine in it. In beginning there was no leak now it seems there are several. only half of the bolts between the engine and tranny were put back in. There seems to be a leak that is coming from above the starter area as it drips from it and from in between the engine and team my too. I can't tell if the torque converter inspection hole is leaking or just in front but the cover is gone to that as well. So I guess my question is where could it be leaking transmission fluid above the starter?

Are you certain it's ATF? Then, if it is, overfill can puke fluid up high, then it runs down, depending on where it vents from. Front transmission seal can leak fluid which gets spread allm over by the spinning torque converter, then leaks out and down.
