The 2008 S281SC was rated at 465hp/425lbft as opposed to 335hp/345lbft for the N/A version. Couldn't find a quote for maximum boost but I expect it's going to be about 7psi.

pokes9won, the supercharger PSI for the Seleen 2008 S281 SC seems to be made proprietary by Seleen. That being said, here is the information on the 2006 Seleen S281 SC: 4.5 OEM boost, but with the 2006 Seleen supercharger upgrade option, the boost is raised to 5-7 psi. Now what Dino said is on the money because the 2008 S281 SC had a "upgraded" supercharger from the factory. Hence the higher horsepower rating for the 2008 S281 SC. I think 7- 8 psi is in the ballpark.

Thanks very much to you and Dino for the information, I am having the supercharger rebuilt and with a new stock motor just wanted to no what the stock SC psi should be.

I believe the rating was 400hp for the 4.5psi system.

pokes9won, here is what the boys are telling me. With a "stock" short block, the max PSI would be 13psi. This is a healthy number for a OEM rebuild. I personally would not boost this engine over 9-10 psi, on the street. Maybe at the track on a trophy run, I would boost it to 13 psi. The 4.6,3v is a tough engine, but everything has its limitations. Yes, some of these engines are being boosted to some terrifying numbers, but these engines are using "forged" short blocks.

Buick Sergeant this is great information and just what I need on a OEM motor from Ford that comes with a 3 year 36 mile warranty, supercharger with a 2 year 24 mile warranty. I only run on the street so I will keep it at 9 psi with a good safe tune, what are your thoughts on where the rev limiter should be? The car has kooks headers, high flow air filter and 4.10 gears (not totally sure on the gears) with an extreme heat exchanger with dual fans that's it. I do not plan on anything else.

The maximum boost isn't the limiting factor for the stock short block. It's the ability of the stock connecting rods to withstand higher cylinder pressures and rpm without bending or breaking, and the ability of the stock pistons to withstand detonation.
If you stick to 525 crank HP (460rwhp) and 6250rpm, you should be safe as long as the tune is fairly conservative.

pokes9won, what Dino said about the internals is absolutely correct. Also, your "cam profile" is quite critical in determining max RPM. If you have the "Cam Card", the specs would be helpful in determining max RPM. These numbers are right from Salene for the 2008 S281 SC: 3:73 gear ratio,
465bhp @ 5800rpm
425lb-ft @ 4000rpm
I hope this helps.
