Manual or Automatic 2014, 15 or 16 Mustang gt?
I am planning on buying either a 14,15 or 16 Mustang gt for my first vehicle sometime in the next 3 months. I am unsure whether I want a manual or an automatic. I've driven a manual 07 gt and an automatical 14 gt. The automatic was fine, but I found myself getting bored. I have some experience driving manual but I've driven for less than 5 hours. I live in a small town with zero traffic and no hills, so that won't be a problem. Im curious how much more difficult driving a manual mustang would be than a Sunfire or a mercury cougar, for example. Im not looking for any advice about buying a mustang at a young age, I'm just unsure about what transmission I would like more.

The only thing that might be more difficult would be the clutch will most likely be stiffer than most other cars. Whenever I drive someone else's car (like my old roommate's Passat) I slam their clutch into the floor because it's so much lighter that mine. You'll get used to that though; you're left leg will just be stronger than you right LOL. Beyond that, they're pretty easy. Most mass market cars should be pretty easy.

The S550 mustang has a hydraulic clutch with a helper spring above the pedal. As compared to my '89 Stang with a cable clutch, the S550 is Much, much easier on the left leg. The only downside is you get less feedback (feel) from the pedal, but you get used to it .

If I didn't have rush hour traffic to contend with, I never would have gotten an auto. But..the auto in the S550 is pretty good.
You have a tougher choice to make, as you don't have anything swaying you one way or the other.
