Unhappy Gap between windows on 2017 convertable

I am trying to purchase a 2017 convertable Ecoboost. In both cars that I test drove, these was a gap between the front window and the rear window. I could slide my finger up and down in between where the front and rear windows should touch. I do not want to buy a car with an obvious defect. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it an easy fix? And is this a recurrent problem that I will have to fix time and time again? Please help, any input is appreciated.

On my 2017 premium convertible if you are outside the car with the doors closed there is about a small finger distance between the front and rear windows. It is seated properly on the window seals and you do not want any glass to glass contact.

Havre the same problem on 2016 Ecoboost convertible that I just got. Taking it to the local Ford for Warranty service next week, will update.

As 7 UP Mustang said, there should be no glass to glass contact, but there should be glass to seal contact. If not, you will have a water leak. I picked up a 2016 GT convertible last November. A records search at my local Ford dealer showed it had only one warranty repair, an adjustment to the right rear window. So far, so good on the water leaks. I imagine it would be a relatively easy adjustment.

I have the same problem, though mine is intermittent and not as severe. I'm taking mine in on Monday the 23rd to have them look at it and I'll let you know what they say. Echoing an earlier response, this should be an easy fix.

Well, I took mine in and it was an easy fix, apparently. I wouldn't be concerned about it. Just point it out to the dealer and they'll make the adjustments.

Default Tip on closing the gap with no silicone or grease

I recently uploaded a 5min YT video on the topic of this issue. I showed a different way how to close the rear window and that is with its top operation. However, in case the tip doesn’t help, then you may need an alignment.
