Default ***** Thumpr Cams

Im thinking of swapping my stock cams for those ***** thumprs off of AM. But i want to do it right and i dont want to be cheap about it and replace all necessary parts to keep from having any future issues, it is my daily driver by the way. I plan on compiling some other parts to go on since I have the intake and valve covers off anyway. Im just looking for a little input from those who are more experienced and i can learn from their builds.

just read as many "how to's" on cam replacement and watch the online videos....use proper tools to do the job....might be a good time to buy nice black cam covers, they look much better than the stock covers.

buy new phaser bolts and cam cover gaskets. black permatex gasket maker for when you reinstall your cam covers.

what is nudging you in the direction of getting cams? I'm not going to try to dissuade you to get them or not. the stockers are great until you up the HP. you also have to get a tune for the new cams, not a big deal but more money. your also going to lose some low end torque. for a DD cams aren't the way to go IMHO. what is the mileage on your car? if you have everything apart, might want to replace the timing chains, tensioners, guides etc, and also the "lifters". the roller followers should be fine. good luck
