Default Any Upholsterers in the house?

Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone has any experience with upholstery and would know any swift tips or tricks about reupholstering the seats from a 99-04. I'm thinking I'm going to give it a shot and see how it turns out, it's a lot cheaper than getting it professionally done and I'm confident in my ability to sew the replacement correctly and get it on, just unsure if there's any problems or tricks others might know to help the situation go a little more smoothly.

And I suppose I'm also curious if anyone happens to know if any seat from another car/year combo would bolt into a mustang. I ventured to our local junkyard last week hoping to find a not crappy but not pristine replacement seat to use while I am working on each different seat and each mustang there either had pretty rough looking seats from weather/wear + tear or it was a terrible brown (and unmatching) color. But they did have plenty of other ford cars and pickups there that I could potentially use a seat from if they happened to bolt up the same.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated,

Thanks guys.

I'm interested in this issue as well. My driver's side seat has a broken frame. I found images about that repair but all comments about removal and subsequent install of the seat cushions and covers were negative. Seems like it's really hard to get the covers back on the seats. Good luck and be safe out there. Thanks,

The seats already have covers on them, they're just factory covers. They can
come off, and you put new ones on. It's not like seat covers you buy at
Walmart, but they are covers none the less. They can be hard to get back
on, but it's your only option without just buying off the shelf covers.

Actually there happens to be a very good lengthy tube video on how to do this for our cars:
