Default 03 Mustang Gt Stopping Poroblem

My 03 Gt has recently decided to lose its mind. I replaced the IAC to fix an idling problem but not it wants to hang at 1500 rpm when i’m stopping and will not let off until it’s completely stopped (sometimes easier said than done) and when its stopped, it jumps down to 400 and almost dies out. I’ve looked through a few posts and haven’t seen much like it in an automatic car. I’ve checked for vacuum leaks and nothing came up. A few guys at work thought my throttle cable was hung until i let them drive. Seriously need help on this one. Thanks in advance

This nonsense didn't happen before changing the IAC valve?

No, it had a horrible idle but it never dod this. It did it right after i out it on and it almost sent me into an intersection. I thiught it was my TPS but after 3 of those, i’m at a loss

Clean your original, and reinstall. See if it isn't better. In my experience the aftermarket nonford IACs are garbage.

The original was stuck wide open. I tried everything from cleaning it to taking it apart and it would not budge

+++^ KAST1376 has a great point, just because its new doesn't meant it works.

There are a couple post on here where someone had to return it three times before getting one that worked I think it was Tadpole or something like that

You can confirm whether the IAC is good with a resistance check (engine off). The IAC should have something like 6-13 ohms between the pins, IIRC.
