2009 mustang trunk release wiring question.

2009 mustang trunk release wiring question.
I bought a 2009 with an aftermarket alarm that no one will work on. The main problem is the remote won't open the trunk, the trunk pops if I bridge the relay contacts in the fuse box. I thought I would wire in a trunk release button, but I can't find the correct wire to ground it to it is supposed to be a white wire with pink or violet stripe, in my car this wire is hot not a ground, and does not open the trunk. I don't want to replace the whole alarm system yet, I would rather spend money on upgrades, I would be fine with it if I could somehow open the trunk without the key, so if anyone has any ideas I would like to hear them.

I posted a DIY for wiring a button to the trunk release. Find it, use that wire, it comes off
the SBJ. It's a B+ trigger, not a ground trigger. The relay puts +12 to the release, through
the SBJ at the passenger kick panel.
The DIY I put up gets power from the console power point, then is wired to the SBJ
wire.
+ there are videos all over the place... The KIT costs $120.00, well, you can buy any
momentary push button and make your own.
IF you have a negative trigger from your alarm, use a relay to convert it to a
positive trigger to run to the wire coming our of the SBJ.

Thanks for answering, but the link that you gave me only has a video that is showing what I have been try to do, which is grounding the white and pink wire on the passenger side. So I am still not sure what the solution is.

Wow, sorry if you took offense at what i wrote, that wasn't my intention. I already thanked you for answering me. I just still don't understand what you were trying to explain to me, with your link not having any information at all other than the video for the switch kit.

trunk button on your aftermarket alarm. I show you a wire inside the car, for the
trigger wire from the alarm, and you still missed it... You even SAID you thought
you would hook up a button, and the video SPECIFICALLY shows how to do that.
So, you can't figure out from the VIDEO, which shows you the wire to use, to incorporate
that to your alarm trigger wire?
So, yeah, figure it out then...

I'll admit that wiring is not something that I am good at, and maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I've watched all the videos and written directions for installing a trunk button, and I cant get it to work. I have tried the white wire with the pink strip, I tried the orange wire with the pink stripe, they both have power but don't trigger the relay when grounded. If i bypass the relay in the fuse box with a wire the trunk pops. I feel like this should be something easy, and I also feel stupid for not being able to figure this out. I guess I will just use the key for now.

That video is supposed to be correct, but looking at the schematics, in the
Chiltons manual, it is not, it has:
DISARM SW - WHT/PINK
SW SIG - TAN
However, there is a line from the SBJ to the Exterior relay:
http://iihs.net/fsm/?d=40&f=Luggage%20Compartment.pdf
The wire from the Smart Junction Box shows WH-VT to the coil, ground,
of the release relay in the engine compartment. You should be able to
use that, and is what you SHOULD use as it will directly latch the relay
for the trunk release.
Interior:
PINK/OG would require a +12 trigger, that goes right to the release solenoid, which
is provided by the relay.
