Default Tires for 2016 GT 20" Rims

Hello All,
New here but not to Fords. I'm having a problem with getting tires for my 2016 GT with the factory 20" rims. I currently have the factory 265/35 Pirelli P Zero's on it with 25mm spacers all around. I really want to be able to drive in the cold weather, and ordered in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus 275/35's, which I believe is a really common size upgrade. They are only .3" larger in overall diameter. Once installed they hit the fender liner in both right and left hand turns. At the time the shop was full and backed up, so there wasn't any time to mess around with it by taking the spacers off, although I'm not sure that would have mattered. Thoughts from the tire experts?

.3" taller, but they are also .4" wider...

.3" Taller, but also .4" wider, and you mentioned you are already using spacers. It's winter, take
them off...

The spacers are going to come off, but based on the shape of the wheel well liner I can't see that it will effect what is going on. There are lots of references to the 275/35 being used all over the place, and I was hoping to have someone with the same set up lurking here.

Also, the 2015+ come with a 20" option, so the other post saying how it's not good
for the suspension isn't quite spot on...

The 275/35's fit fine without the spacers.
