Clutch catch point s550
I’m looking into getting a 2015-17 s550 and I test drive one at my local dealer and the clutch caught a bit past 1/2 way. It’s the only one of ever driven an on my 2007 it almost catches as soon as I let let I’m not sure if it’s all of the newer cars or if the clutch is just bad

Probably been abused, how many miles?
Engagement points from the floor will vary a little,but the real test is the length of engagement., It shouldn't be real short from just grabbing to fully engaged.

it started to grab at like 1/2 and stopped grabbing almost all the way out it had around 50k on it

This could be just a ford thing. My 2000 mustang was that way. Tried the 2007 Mustang and while better in travel was way stiffer which is why I passed. Looks like 2015+ went back the other direction (lighter but longer travel).
