89 LX Tilt Steering Play

89 LX Tilt Steering Play
Just bought a 1989 Mustang LX and noticed there was a little play in the steering. The problem is that the previous owner drove the car without power steering in a tilt steering column and busted a plastic coupler thing in the connector that joins the tilt steering wheel to the column. I need a part name or way to replace that plastic piece with those metal pins in the way (probably pressed in). I cannot find anyone with this problem that didn't just break down and replace the entire column. Would be a shame if I had to do that because the wheel is in such great condition.
plastic piece behind steering wheel connected to shaft
half of the plastic on the steering wheel bearing
other half on the shaft
