Hi all,
I just recently bought a 1999 Mustang GT that I got for super cheap, partly because the dude lost all the keys. I tried calling the dealership, and they said they couldn't get me a key because t was too old. What are my options here? I'd like to avoid a locksmith if possible, but if that's my only option, it's my only option.

Check eBay for a an ignition cylinder and keys. Then they need programmed into PATS.
Or, if there is a junk yard with an S97 car in it, see if they have any.

They're $13-$25 on eBay with non transponder keys, no PATS system or bypassed, tuned out...

Can I program the PATS key myself without an original key? Or do I have to have a dealer do that?

Dealer, or ForScan, you have to have at least one working key to program PATS
on the S97s, I think, but you can't do it from two NEW keys.
