Default Oil leak on 2004 3.8 liter

I just got the car yesterday I haven't seen where the oil is coming from yet it's not very much but its noticeable. I was wanting to know if it's a common issue on the 3.8 liters to have oil leaks if so where could it be coming from? Are the parts cheap and would it be easy to fix myself?

We can't see where it's coming from either, so, sorry, if all you want are guesses, then don't post any pictures...
No one can really help you with what you said, and no pictures of where you see it, on the engine, and ground
if it gets that far..

Valve covers are the first place to look, and most common leak areas.
Then you have front or rear main seals.

I can go on and on as to where it can leak from, but you can look at all that...

Yep, no pics no real direction.

Valve covers, Oil pan, Timing Cover, rear/front main seals are all leaking points. On a 2004 (15 yr old vehicle) all locations are fair game. None were known to be "common or problematic".

You need the tools, which will be a slide hammer, and puller. The seal is easy to
replace, it's the labor and time getting it all apart. SEARCH YAHOO or GOOGLE,
there are plenty of instructional videos.
