Default 2004 Mustang GT Rear Brakes

Is it normal for my rear brakes to be all rusty already when I got new ones a few months ago compared to my front ones which I haven't replaced at all yet, but yet they aren't rusty whatsoever?

Does the car sit a lot or do you drive it daily? What brakes did you replace the rear ones with? It may be possible that they are poorer quality than the stock motorcraft brakes and are more prone to rusting.

What he said, not all brake components have anti-corrosion coatings on them like the OEM so, if the caliper/rotor is just untreated metal, it will rust fairly quickly. Even name brands will sometimes have two different lines, one that explicitly states they are zinc coated or coated with corrosion inhibitors and ones that don't say anything about a coating or corrosion inhibitors. Just because they are name brand, don't assume they are coated or anti-corrosion treated.

No I drive it daily and yeah I'm guessing they are more poor quality cause they were only about $60 for 2.
