Removing white wax residue from upper door rail
The black rail above my door upper weather stripping is getting white discoloration (see picture). I don't think it's fade, I think it's related to the wax I use which can leave a powder residue and smear onto the rail. Any suggestions how to remove the white and get it all black again without buying a new piece for $150?

I have Meguiars hot shine tire spray that I could try to turn it black. But not sure that will be permanent.

Mothers has a product line called "back to black" that is designed for removing wax residues from surfaces that aren't meant to be waxed.

Go over it with an ink eraser (the white one) first.
