Lack of throttle response
Hi, I am new here and new to the world of mustangs. I have a 2008 Ford Mustang GT V8 and I have had some issues with it. It had died on me a day and a half ago had to get a tow. It has 139,000 miles on it. It was dying like it had run out of gas, then it wouldn't start and stay running rough idle had to give it gas to have it run then it died. Replaced the fuel filter not it, the fuel pump not it, the maf sensor was the culprit. Now it starts and idles nice. Next issue is on on acceleration it loses power like a hesitation for a second. Check engine light is on. Bone stock mustang except the exhaust is an h pipe cat delete, and the mufflers rusted out getting a new set of those. Wondering what else I should do.

Second, I suspect that the cat delete has something to do with your issues, especially if you are running the stock tune.

You wouldn't believe how much a clean throttle body will give you better throttle response. All you have to do it disconnect the Air Cleaner hose or CAI and clean it with a toothbrush with some throttle body cleaner. It was an instance change in throttle response. I didn't even take my throttle body off. I just left it on.
