Default Clutch pedal all the way up

Hey everyone, so while I was driving, my clutch pedal essentially “popped” out and came all the way up towards the driver seat. My foot was not pushing on the clutch pedal when this happened. Upon further inspection the support bracket had come loose from the master cylinder. The clutch would still engage when I put the pedal all the way to the floor. I was able to snap it right back in place. Any ideas or known issues I’m not aware of why this could happen?

So just to update, the clutch pedal keeps popping back out after not even a few hours of driving

Your 04 still uses a cable on the clutch, anything 05 and later use hydraulic lines.
I believe your clutch pedal can be adjusted and may resolve your issue. On another note, I'm searching for why my clutch pedal rides so high after changing out the clutch and slave cylinder.

Height of clutch pedal when the throw-out bearing contacts clutch pressure plate release fingers depends on clutch disc thickness, so new, thicker disc causes pedal engagement sooner. If it's ridiculously high, something else is wrong.
