Converting a 90 Gt to carb
Just bought a 90 GT roller, no computer or wiring. Want to go carb set-up cause its cheaper to make fast and this car is only a fun car. Do I need to change fuel lines or gas tank. I have no engine yet so is it best to go with the roller 5.0 then the older ones?

RE: Converting a 90 Gt to carb
i just done all that last week again for the second time. its really not a bad job at all. i took the factory tank down and took the pump out the sender and put a rubber hose in place of it. i just used the old style timing cover on my motor and hooked up a maunal fuel pump. also used the factory fuel lines up to the engine bay

RE: Converting a 90 Gt to carb
You can use the EFI lines but you will have to either cut off the fittings on them or cut off on the fuel rail end and just clamp on a hose and still have the EFI connectors. You can get a mechanical pump that has a return line on it if you want to keep using the stock return line or you can just block that line off and get rid of the whole thing. You will have to get a length of brake line from the part store for the pressure side of the pump (5/16 I believe, pump to carb). Like 92GT said just pull the pump and add a rubber line where the pump is supposed to be and be sure to either disconnect the wires to the pump from all power sources so it doesn't make contact and go boom[8D].
