See if you have a air meter on your inlet tube.....comes off the air filter...if you have a straight black tube with MO meter, SD...

<<<Correct 5L's sold in Cal. in '88 got mass-air & became standard in all 5L Mustangs in '89>>>

Go with the brothers kits. They are a good company that you know they'll answer the phone if you have questions.

You can buy the MAF wire for $50.....call your local parts store for a reman. A9L computer, last I knew around $150....and look for a used mass-air meter...C&L makes a nice product....start is the parts for sale!

Thanks everyone........I guess I will seriously worry about doing the MAF conversion when I actually get my Fox, lol. If I can I will get a 1989 V8 and up...........just to save a bit of trouble.

really not that big of an issue....If you can find a nice '86 (or 87/88) & convert to mass-air, you can save $$$$

i always thought that stock for stock SD cars are faster than MAF, i guess it all depends on what you want to do, if you add a blower then MAF is the way to go, but if your not im sure you could build one bad *** sd car.
