Red face hydraulic or roller with carb conversion

i am converting over to a carb and trying to decide on a cam but not sure if keeping it a roller or going to a hydraulic set up will be better the motor is a 90 5.0 and bottom end is stock from what i can tell just got car

Your motor right now is roller so Id strongly suggest keeping a roller cam in it.

i think he really ment hydraulic or solid because both can be roller. if i were you i would stay hydraulic it just makes life easier.

He may have just not known, that 5.0L are factory hyd roller cars??? idk!
