Default RPM Airgap Intake and 1" Open spacer issue

I am running the RPM airgap intake with an open 1" spacer. I was told at my local speed shop that I shouldn't run an open spacer with this manifold. He should I should use a four hole spacer. Is there any truth to this? Any opinions?

It drives fine but I was told I would lose some tunability with it versus a 4 hole. Or am I better off not using one at all as my combo is basic and doesnt make alot of power in the higher RPMS anyway.

take it to the track, run it with then without and see if it makes a difference.

I doubt you need a 1" open spacer on your setup. That intake will move more top end than your engine will. A 4 hole will help in the bottom end and mid range, but you may lose power up top. If you're going to run a spacer then run a good combination spacer.

I reason I run it was I had a fuel boiling issue at the track as well as Air cleaner clearance. Without it my air cleaner hits the dizzy. I might just switch to the regular performerer intake.

The Performer sits lower and you'll have even more air cleaner to dizzy issues. And if you're boiling fuel off then maybe you should try to get rid of engine compartment heat, since it's bad for performance and kills wiring.

I got rid of the boiling issue. I re-routed the fuel line and that seemed to stop it.

Do you guys think the Airgap is a little too much for my combo. I am running 14.40's at 3500 ft consistently but I feel like it might be hurting my low end. I should be in the 13's easy with this car.
