Default speed density> MAF> carbureter...

Hey guys I had a 91 Mustang GT that I got rid of a year ago. Tomorrow I have an opportunity to trade a 96 Mark VIII for an 86 Mustang GT. First off, would you (whoever is reading this) make such a trade...?? Now to my main question. The car in consideration is a 5.0 H.O. engine with speed density. I am going to ditch the speed density but I would like to know who prefers the mass air EFI over a carbureted set up and vice versa. I have limited knowledge of push rod engines but from I've gathered, a carbureted engine is simpler, cheaper, and has more power potential than an EFI engine but an EFI is better for emissions and in inclimate weather. Is this true...?? I've already done enough research to know what is involved in a carbureted swap and a mass air flow swap. I'm just torn between the two and I would like some advice from those who know and have personally experienced and worked with these engines...which way should I go and why...?? Thanks.

I don't have any problems starting or driving my carbureted car when it's 10* F outside or less. And that's with the same tune year round.
