Question hesitation and popping

I just put in a fully rebuilt 302 in my 1988 mustang. The only thing I used from my old motor was the upper and lower intake. When I take off I get a little hesitation and I also get a little pop. To me it sounds like the pop could be coming from the intake.Does anyone think it could be the throttle body gaskets, I do see a little residue around the throttle body? Please can anyone help I want my car running perrrrrrrrrfect.

make sure tps voltage is .998 or close, then check timing! if it is 10 or less bump it up couple degrees! should clear it up, if not u have a different problem!

popping in hte manifold can be from faulty maf but i see u have an 88 and most likely being speed density!?
