If you're going to swap heads, do that cam as well. You're most of the way there, and heads and cam need to work together. That said, you get a set of heads that need work....add valvetrain to support the cam, it all adds up. There's never just replacing one thing and being done, you tend to get nickled and dimed along the way.

Come up with a realistic goal and a realistic budget and go from there. But just spending money on parts and throwing them at a car piecemeal ends up costing you a lot more in the long run than just eating a larger up front cost to get everything working together correctly the first time.

Dart also makes iron heads for SBF still(last I checked anyway). Modest heads, modest cam, some decent valvetrain stuff and you can get a solid performing reliable vehicle for not a lot of money.

But just fyi, trying to save $500 now may cost you $1,000+ later.

If you're just looking for cheap power when you want it, buy a 50-75 shot nitrous kit.

Patriot performance offers a good set of heads for about 950! aluminum 185`s 2.05 intake vlv 1.6 ex vlv fully assembled!

As stated above you will need to do some right off thinking, heads and cam atleast then u can come back and get your intake, tb etc that you need!

Make me an offer I cant refuse, lol,I have my heads off my car now (Aluminum GT40 SVO heads) 1.94/1.54,been 11.35 @115 with 125 hit with a crappy 289 performer intake. Dont let people tell you these heads arent no good,Ive seen cars deep in the 10's with them, look at 5.0kids car for example. Taking them to machine shop in a few weeks to have cleaned up and gone through, seriously if ya make me a good offer there yours, but I dont NEED to sell them,Ill just throw them back on and run them bitches.
