Default gear help
i got a 85 5.0 4 barrel crab ,bbk headers flow master ex. c4 trans with 3 speed shifter. dont know what gear is in it now but i can barley ride on the highway my cruise speed my rpm is too high. any help

jack up the rear end of the car, mark the driveshaft.
turn one of the rear tires, one full revolution, count the number of times the driveshaft spins.

voila, gear ratio

unfortunately it probably isnt even that numerically high.... your 3 speed is only a 1:1

so my guess is even with 3.73's and going 70 your turning 3k
