the stock cam will suit you best. Convert to MAF and get a set of heads and an intake first.

I see online that there are tons of diff setups I could go with...I am wanting to go with a cam, gt40 heads an intake so would a stock MAF conversion be ok? Or would it justify an upgraded MAF? Just asking cause I don't waNna buy twice ya know

You need a MAF ecm and brothers performance sells a pigtail MAF harness you have to hook it in and plug it up with those heads and intake , cam selection stock meter and injectors will be fine! get an adj regulator and bigger fuel pump also!

you can only get close lol! you have to take in a many different things, Heads, intake, induction capacity, car weight, rear gear, what you want the car to do, the idle you want, the tranny type, static and dynamic compression im sure i missed a few but that covers most to get as close as you can to the right one!

Lift and durations can get you the flow numbers you need but the lobe seperation will affect things like dynamic c/r and idle, and vaccum! It will take too much time and space to accuratley explain it so you will need to talk to your cam supplier!

I went to a seminar about cams many years ago, put on by Crane.
The enginneer type that gave the class told me that if I changed car weight by 50# that it would effect the camshaft.........
