New Speed density cam or stock cam with 1.7 RR?

New Speed density cam or stock cam with 1.7 RR?
I think I'm going to get a set of gt40P Heads there are a bunch floating around my craigslist right now.
I am still running Speed Density on my 87 and don't exactly want or feel the need to convert as of right now. There is a guy with heads that
also has 1.7RR with them. Is that a worth while upgrade on my stock cam or should I get a speed density friendly cam? If a new cam makes more sense which cam would you guys recommend? I'm looking more or less for a fast street car
So the setup would consist of a Speed Density, Stock bottom end, 1 5/8" shorty headers a full 2 1/2" exhaust with off road H pipe, 373 Gears, Cobra Upper and Lower intake, GT40P Heads ----then either stock cam with 1.7RR or a different cam with 1.6
