RE: how to warm up DR's?
I have never launched D/R's but I have raced on Full Slicks. I dont guess its that much different. I just backed um in the water, pulled out and did a 2nd gear burnout. I produced quite a bit of smoke. Maybe i didnt have to, but It was cool anyways, and I didnt care about wearing them. lol
If i were you, the first time, you might just spin them til u see a little smoke, then stop. If it doesnt hook, then burn them longer. From what ive heard about Knox area tracks, they suck. you may have to get them pretty hot to hook well.
R U planning a track night sometime soon? Ive said it before and ill say it again, I WANT TO BE THERE!!!!!! LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!

BURNOUTS- FOR MOST APPLICATIONS
1. First pass of the day hard burnout. After that follow general guidelines of #2 and #3 stated below.
2. Automatic transmissions and Softer compounds: First pass or two, fairly hard burnout, after that a light burnout should be sufficient.
3. Standard transmission "Stockers": No burnout or short, dry burnout. Super Stock and Comp cars- light burnout, haze tires and stage immediately.

As for the correct PSI to use, also from their website
P275 and smaller sizes: 12-16 psi
On the highway we recommend running 75% of maximum psi stated on the sidewall of the tire.
hope that helps,

I used to do a good 8-10 second burnout with my Nitto's in 2nd gear. They always hooked well after that.
