Eclipse vs. GT
 

Was running down the street Friday night and i see these guys in this riced out eclipse running next to me and lookin at my car wanting to run. So I blew their doors off no prob (must have been an all show no go car). When I finally let off they start pullin that **** were they ride your ass like they have something to prove. Funny.

what year eclipse ?? old old, older, newer, or NEW NEW ?? lol if that helps any. theres 4 gens of eclipses. which car were u in ? i see the red 5.0 'vert...is the blue one a GT, altho, from the hood, im guessing its a 6-cyl the way the pic looks. but, either way, im sure he WASNT turbo'd. congrats on the win tho.

My buddy has a 99 eclipse spyder (5 spd) that ran a 16.1 @84 Mph.

The newer ones are slow. It's the older GS-T And GSX's that you have to worry about. They run like high 14's STOCK

Stock for Stock a 5.0 5 spd will beat any eclipse exept the new new one.

idk about that 2nd comment......if its a GSX/TSi........and they can drive, and out launch you, youll be playing catch-up, and MIGHT NOT catch up.....but, for the most part, yes, a 5.0 will beat an eclipse/talon.

It was in my GT, (some of the 99-00 GTs like it didnt have hoodscoops, the 5.0 is my dads), and it was a like 00-04 style Eclipse, i rally dont think he had anything good in it. It had a body kit and carbon fiber hood and like 2 sets of foglights. Pretty gay looking if you ask me.

i'm assuming you mean pre-06 eclipse GTs. those are fair game for a 99-04GT.

the remix eclipses (3rd gen maybe) were just as fast as the gs-ts werent they? and the 06s come with 268 hp, and are right in leage with a stock 99-04 GT

I own a 02 GT. And believe we aint fast lol

I Will be supercharging my car real soon and be hitting 12-13 psi. I should get some decent numbers. =)

Back to topic though, good run; And like people say, there is a big diff beetwent a 99 eclipse through the 04's.

1gen - 1990-94 DSM (eclipse,Talon,laser)
2gen - 1995 -99 ^^^^^^^^^
3rd-00-03?04? GT/GTS (v6's) RS/GS (4bangers)
4gen-and up^^^^^^^^^^^^



The 3gen is being the slowest, stock wise I mean. And the 1st is the ones who pick up the highest boost, ask boosted eagle, he knows what his doing in his car haha! =)
