Ownd3dbyyou -- You're getting it mixed up. I run consistent 13.5's at 102-103 at the track as long as I don't blow the launch. The GT is the one that ran a 14.088 at 98 when he was stock or had very very few performance mods.

Torque steer is not that bad, but it will be history if I can afford to get an LSD after my tranny goes and I do a rebuild. I'm sure I'll kill my tranny quick enough after the intercooler and smaller pulley goes on in about a month and a half. Then I'll be running high 12's with traction.....traction.
There's the problem.
I have a heck of a time getting out of the hole, especially on the street. That's why I'm glad we're going a 25 roll.

Hey all, I was hoping to get an honest, unbiased opinion on who is going to win a race between myself (GTP) and a guy with a modded '00 Stang GT 5-speed. We'll be racing in a few weeks from a 25 roll up to around 100 or so. Him:

Dyno Numbers : 246 HP / 291 TQ

Me: 2001 GTP with basic mods running pretty consistent 13.5's at 102-103 with a halfway decent launch. Best time so far 13.49 @ 103.51 on a 2.1 sec. 60' in 45 degree weather. Never been to a dyno, but would guess I'm around 260hp/330tq.
Main reason I'm asking is b/c I don't have a clue what his above mods will do for him in the 1/4. Assuming his PB of 14.088 was bone stock, what would he likely run now? Who do you think will win the race?

Yes it's s/c'ed. I don't think with those mods that the Stang driver will get low 13's. I may be wrong, so correct me if I am. The GTP should win IMO.

It seems like the GT guy has a pretty good list of mods...If those are his...But now that i know the GTP is supercharged....It might be in the GTP favor now....I think those things are really heavy though? I would love to see the end results....Good stuff man.....I tell ya...lol

Probably similar weight to the Mustang I would think?
