So, I smoked a 330ci tonight (5.0 GEAR QUESTION- PLEASE MOVE BACK)
Well, I had a passenger, he didn't and I have a few tiny bolt ons (not even headers), and I know those cars are pretty quick.
First of all, he had a rolling start and I didn't even realize we were racing until he was jumping ahead of me about 20 feet off the stop light. So I floored it out of adrenaline instead of walking the pedal up and I ran it to about 5.5k R's and I put it into 2nd and was about 1/2 a car length ahead by 4k in second (he had a tiptronic trans). He eventually gave up at around 50mph or so after I was gonna obviously burn him even worse.
In 3rd I would have destroyed him, but it was just off a light and I didn't want to worry about cops.
How much faster would the car go with a set of 3.55 gears, how streetable would it be?
And I have been focusing on brakes lately (maybe getting a set of rear disks). Would I notice a rediculous joke of a difference with gears or should I just buy a rear disk kit from California Mustang like I've been thinking about? I don't really road race too often, LOTS of cops in Los Angeles, but I love pushing it once in a while.

Um... yeah...
The 330 was definately racing... he was racing before I was. And STILL a basically stock American push-rod prevails over a Euro-tuned high-compression "sports coupe".

A 330ci is a BMW. It's not a ford. BMW makes tiptronic for their cars.
I know it was a 330 because it said 330 CI in the back, lookinforastang.

sorry dude, i have no authority out of the 5.0 section, so i can't move it back... one of the site mods or S&S section mods would have to move it back for you, i doubt they will though unless someone actually starts talking about gears instead of racing.
