Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
(if needs moved please do, seemed like the place to ask though)
might remember my gf's brother was looking for a LS1 Trans Am well, they got a '95 Formula with 40K for 6,200 ,, which IMO is a STEAL if its in good shape its obviosly the 5.7 LT1 with an automatic.. i believe LT1's are 275 hp good for 14 flats to high 13's, GREAT races for a stock 99-04 so what is special about a formula? and what is the likely outcome with my geared, partial exhaust, DR'd 99GT? |
RE: Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
Nothing really "special" about a formula, cept it looks like a V6 firebird, instead of a trans am. As for the race I say with the gears and DR's you got em

RE: Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
yea, my gf said no ram air on it,,
so it probably looks just like all the 93-97 v6 firebirds? |
RE: Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
Yup, It could be a sleeper to those who dont know what formula means
|
RE: Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
Stock for stock it's about even, so you should have the edge. If you have a manual then it should be a decisive victory for you.
I've heard of stock auto LT1 F-bodies hitting 13.9-14.0 stock, but I believe it's pretty rare, kinda like a stock 12 second LS1 F-body. |
RE: Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
He has gears and DR's though
|
RE: Question: '95 Firebird 'Formula'
the advantage to the formula series firebirds is less weight, thats it in a nutshell and in the 4th gen cars you could buy a formula that was just as fat as the t/a badged cars. a formula is much like that of a stripper z28
