i just got my 1999 v6 mustang 5 speed.its completely stock 69k mi. and my dad got a 1990 miata mx-5 a few months ago..with 53k Mi. on it. i was just wondering, which do you think would win in a drag race? 1/4 mile. autocross im sure the miata would win..that thing sticks to the road like glue! i put the stang on the road tomorrow. looking forward to your opinions! thanks, erich

Actaully the new miatas are pretty cool. Small *** coupe with 160 hp, fun as hell to drive.

Miatas are fun. I drove the Mazdaspeed version around 2 years ago and it was a blast. Yeah it has a girly image but there are very few cars that really match it's simple nature and fun to drive quotient.

Some of you are saying that Miata's are fun to drive, yet when the S2000 gets mentioned everybody says they suck and are slow? The S2000 would flat out dominate the Miata in every way possible, plus it looks 1000 times better. Plus the tranny is the best mass produced tranny ever. I think Car and Driver said that, but I can't find it so I can't be sure. If you drove one you'd be sure though.

I never said s2000s suck...ive also never driven one where as ive driven a few miatas at the dealerships ive worked at.
