I've seen a lot of stock WRX's race, I have yet to see one run better than a 14.5, STI's run mid 13's but the regular WRX, sheeesh.

 

I ran a WRX that was relatively stock in my 02' GT. He had exhaust, but other than that I couldn't "see" anything. We never talked much, just raced. He first tried to do a freeway runaway from me. Basically he was waaay ahead of me and merged and saw me coming. He floored it, and I did the same. I climbed through 3rd, then started working my way up through 4th. Once into 4th, I was gaining SERIOUS ground. I mean, he was coming up to me hardcore. I saw his brake lights go on so I just coasted up behind him. He tried it again with my right on his tail. I stayed right with him, and again started to creep up FAST. I eventually had to keep letting off the gas because he wasn't acclereating fast enough when I was behind him. My exit was coming up so I didn't bother passing, just gave him hell. Well, I turned on my turn signal and merged onto the offramp and he darted in front of me taking the same exit. We nodded to each other doing the "nice ride" look. Light turned red in front of us and we talked for a couple seconds waiting for it to go green. Talked about his Willwood Brakes... Light goes green and we both creep off the line not sure if either one will nail it. He nails it first and I'm not far behind. I struggle for traction in first as he gained almost a car length. I grab second and start reeling him in. I grab 3rd as his front bumper is even with mine. Halfway through third I'm just walking by him. Near the top of 3rd his front bumper is even with my back bumper and I call it quits as we come up over a hill into town.

Long story short...it won't take much to pull ahead. I reeled him in 3 times VERY easily, wasn't really worth the race.

 

I am soo glad my car is a lot faster than his!

I am just pissed that no matter what I say he wont race me. I had a friend call him and I openly called him out, TWICE, and he said either A.)My bushings are bad, or B.) I don't want cops to see me. [:@][:@][:@]

Should I call him out to a track or what? I am about to get new tires so I am guessing those will help a little over my Bald tires.

I'm suprised WRX transformed isn't here yet, WRX's aren't slow in the least, stock yes, they are a bit sluggish, but I wouldn't jump in for money just yet, if he upped the boost even a little with a decent tune, it could seem stock but it could spell deadly for you

but IMO, you have nothing to worry about, seems like a punk

 

IF it is stock, you will take it. There are several minor things such as just tuning that up the hp on them. I ran my friend's 03/04 WRX and I run w/ him. On a great launch w/ him, I will be right with him and when I hit 4th, I am gone. Until then, I am even w/ him. (N/A btw for me)

I know that the first thing you have to do is install a computer system on it(dont know which one though). THen you can get up to turbo back exhaust and up the boost some. These are easy to do so you guy's "stock" WRX may have a surprise or two for you. Even so, it would still be a good race and driver race. Good luck

 

What a fuc*ing moron... I'd love to see him say that stuff to a heads/cam/nitrous ls1.

 

There are no LS1's at my school I know about

There is a Camara RS(?) and a few sixxers/ 1 LT1.
