Nice kills man. I think I need to see if I can get approved for 0% apr for an 06 or 07 GT. With these simple bolt ons and a tune you guys are running low 13's, with the mods you have put on my car I would be runnin high 13's still, f*ckin 2v's, LOL, j/k. But I do need to see if I can get approved for the 0%.
I just noticed you knocked off .7 seconds with just and intake and tune? Man that is awesome, its about 3v or 4v time for me, lol.

then only reason i see me beating him was that he was auto, im going to race my friends stick 6.0. I'm dying to see what outcome ends up happening there. 6.0 GTO's trap around 110 and they are around my 13.0, so it should be intresting. I knocked .7 because of my intake, tune, better driving(2.1 60'- 1.9 60'), and raised limiter(6200rpm-7000rpm).

What is the redline in the new GT's? 7000rpms seems like you would be going way over the redline and then, "KABOOM". Are the new GT's able to go that high and be ok?

2 reasons for setting the rev limiter to 7K rpm:
1) The torque management algorithm('throttle nanny') in the S197's ECM starts closing the throttle plate a few hundred rpm's before the redline setting. Hence, the throttle plate starts closing in the high 5K rpm range with the stock setting of 6.25K rpm, as compared to the high 6K rpm range with a 7K setting.
2) An S197 with 3.55 gearing and stock tires, or with lower gearing(3.73, 4.10, etc.) and larger diameter tires, will cross the 1/4 mile finish line in 3rd gear at approx. 6500 rpm. This eliminates having to shift into 4th, and reduces the e.t.

RE: raced a turbo S2k and GTO 6.0
yea the thats exactly why i raised my limiter, they are safe to go up that high in the rpm's. I raced the S2k from the line twice, i won both times. He can't really launch his car because he can break his diff pretty easily. I asked the GTO if he wanted to race from the line he was like hell no man! He said i thought i was gonna kill you off a roll and he was like youll beat me frome the dig. When he saw i ate him from a roll he was like nope forget the dig lol.
