Raced a WRX and a Z28!!

Raced a WRX and a Z28!!
This was the coolest night of racing I've had yet. This yellow WRX has been taunting me for quite sometime now. Tonight I finallly got to race him from red light and a 30mph roll. From the light we were pretty even through 1st, I was spinning like a ****. I got traction and pulled a little. Then in second I spun again[:@] but got traction and pulled some more. Then I hit third and had 3/4 car on him before I slid to a stop.[8D] The next light goes and he's off! I just start normal and catch up to him going about 30mph. We both floor it and I chirp into 3rd (never did that before
) and had 1 car on him before he slowed down.
A couple minutes later I see a newer stock (not sure what year 95-00?) Z28 besdie me. He for sure wants to race and we ditch traffic to be at the front of the light. I though I was for sure going to lose, but we stayed even through first and I actually pull a 1/2 a car on him in second. THird we stay that way untill we slowed down. Next light, same results. He gives me a tumbs-up and we go on our way. It was a good night. I really thought I would lose to the Z28. I figured I would beat the stock WRX, but I wasn't sure. Sorry so long, but these are my best races yet!

I think it was a LT1. It looked like what you described. I'm pretty sure it was stock, but I didn't think I could win. The LT1's can run high 13's stock, right? I'm new to the 1/4 mile thing,...hopefully going to a track soon.

I sorta had a bad start, but was able to keep up. It was kinda a back and forth thing through first a second. We were even at first until I started spinning then the WRX got the edge.....then I got traction again to bring us even.......then finally a pulled ahead.

Nice kill on the LT1 Z28. Stock they run about 13.9-14.3 with 275 hp, I would think that unless you have a lot of mods a '98 GT would lose. You must've outdrove him pretty well and I guess those 3.73 must give a pretty good kick.

Yeah funny thing is i raced an LS1 and we were pretty much dead even, but my friends LT1 would murder me in a heartbeat. Driver has a lot to do with it, and it looks like you are pretty good at racing your car. Good kills.
