You will smoke him easily, I've somked one real bad, but I have a tune, CAI and LT headers.
on the other way I hve 20's and a heavy subs in my trunk..

They are heavier and lack the torque. My carpool partner has one and he is scared to run me because he has been in the stang and knows how I destroy the imports on the drive home.

I was curious about the 350z vs a GT matchup also...
The 07 350Z's haver 306HP and 268ft lbs and the G35 has 295hp and 260ft lbs. The Z weighs in at around 3400lbs... numbers wise it seems like a close race

I played around with one about a week or so ago...unfair advantage...one of my employees has the 350Z and he is trying his hardest to get his to beat my stang..(modding the heck out of it...) but not yet....LOL

i test drove a used 350Z. it was, as somebody else said, a fun little go-kart type ride. even if itwere faster in a straight line, it's still got no soul. over engineered and too "polished" for my tastes. and the exhaust sound sucks. even if you modded the exhaust on that it would still sound too well-mannered. although, stock for stock,i'd put my money on a 350Z on a twisty track over the stang. . . nothing some rear suspension mods can't fix!!!! a sway bar here, a panhard there, and you're off!

A friend of mineat workdrives a G35 with an aftermarket Borla exhaust, no other mods. He drives an auto withthat "sport" shift feature.We have not raced but he is very confident he can beat me in my stock GT. Im still working on my shifting so Im just not sure how I would do. Time will tell...Ill let you know how it goes.

I still have an '03 G35 and even with the auto stick feature, the GT should win. Which is why I'm reading up on the 'stangs again. Miss that American V8. (Car before the 35 was an S281).

Oh wow how freaky this topic came up. My friend with a G35 sedan just drove my new Mustang yesterday and he really loved it! He couldnt believe how much lighter the clutch was in the mustang opposed to the G35. G35 is a really great car too

Our cars have something theirs doesn't, PERSONALITY. Put these 3 side byside in a parking lot for a day and count how many looks each one gets. When its done right, there is no argument. Plus the y sound hell of a lot better. And most important, I have spanked both, but with the 350 having a stronger position than the G.
