New personal best! (Evo)

Only ran once... The weather sucked and the humidity was about 90%. It had been misting all night so the track was a little slick. 1st gear was worthless so I ended up short shifting into second but still cut a decent 60' time. Hopefully next week the weather will be a little better so I can better my time/trap...

1st and only run (crappy weather)

R/T............049
60'............1.74
330...........4.972
1/8............7.594
MPH..........93.87
1000.........9.822
1/4............11.694
MPH..........120.61

Man, I know I should be getting better times with my trap speed so I need to figure out how to shift faster or pick up a quicker 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear shift. Well, that's the whole fun of it, practice, practice, practice! http://forums.evolutionm.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Nice runs. I wish I could be running that 11.69, and still wanting more, LOL.

Thanks SilverGT!

With my trap speed, I know my times should be better. On a better day, I'm hoping to get a little more traction and get at least an 11.5. At least then my trap speed will more accuratly match my times.. :( Or, it could just be the driver.. HA-HA-HA Practice, practice, practice...

Damn those are nice times. I'm pulling very similar 1/8 times (havnt been to a 1/4 yet). Even similar 60ft's.

Even more impressive with your power numbers.

Thanks ZW99GT! I know my numbers seem low for the trap, but the dyno I use is known as the "Heartbreaker". It's an extremely low reading Mustang Dyno. Heck, when I was pulling 263 @ the wheels I was running 12.8 @ 108. The only bad thing about this is that when someone asks how much HP I have, 387 doesn't seem like that much, or it just doesn't sound like a lot. With my trap speed, I should be getting at least an 11.5. That's my goal at least. I want to be told "you need a 4point role cage to run again", and then I'll be done.. :)

I actually had the chance to buy a 400whp EVO. I called this dealership and the guy told me how much it was and what all it had done, and said the papers show 400whp and they were selling it for $25,000, with only 12,000 miles on it and it wasan 05 RS model. It was white with a meth-injection kit, upgraded turbo, bigger intercooler, aftermarket BOV, boost controller, exhaust, intake, 19" racing wheels and other sh*t. The guy put me first on the list if I wanted it when it came in Saturday, but I bought a stock 05 3v instead. Hard tellin how ragged out this EVO was, but I bet it would be fun to drive. Good luck on reaching your 11.5, I'm sure you have the power to do it.

Nice times. We had my friends 400+ whp Evo out last night and that thing is scary fast. It will smoke all 4 tires through corners.

Awesome numbers dude!! Keep it up, you'll hit that goal =)

That makes me wonder, the guy who tuned my car claimed it would be a 10 second car on the leaded fuel...I didn't really believe him at first. Seeing your times and whp (mine was dyno'd on a Mustang dyno too) makes me think that if I did take it to the strip and got tons of practice in that 10s might be achievable.
