Mine has a 1995 HO Roller engine dressed up to look like a factory 71. From the factory the largest engine was a 302 ... same as a Mustang. Nowadays ... guys generally go with a stroked 302 or stroked 351 if you modify the shock towers. Here's my standard 302 ...

That's a sweet lookng car dhmines. My uncle had a 69 grabber Maverick in Orange. I thought it was pretty cool at the time. You don't see too many mavericks any more.

Love that Grabber! As a 7 y/o(1972) my uncle took me, my parents, older sister and cousin(his son) to L.A. from San Diego and I was sitting bitch(center up front) and I vividly remember him hauling *** up the 5 freeway(this was before the 55mph mandatory speed limit). His was a '71(first year, if I'm not mistaken, of the 302 option in the Maverick) 2 door in dark teal with a black vinyl top & hoods-tooth interior. Kicked butt IMO. I love to see Mavericks(and Comets too) of the 70's.
Very nice job resto-modding your Grabber. Good luck with the V-6.

Cut him some slack. They probably stopped building Mavericks before he was born.
