I'm sure he meant flywheel horsepower, not front wheel horsepower.

It wasn't a typo, fwhp means FlyWheel horse power. I was comparing the ls3 rated at 436 fwhp to the cobras underrated 425ish fwhp.

Put it like this, throw a set of slicks on each car under good conditions and Id bet the LS3 would hit high 11'sand the cobra low 12's. Weight is thy enemy with the cobra vs a vette, 3700+ vs 3200 is a big enuf deal in 1/4 mile racing and throw in 370rw vs 400rw and its icing on the cake. I love the cobras, but vettes are just a bit better of a pkg for racing.
+1..... course u could just add 500lbs to the vette then i wonder the out come???[8D]
What Vette owner would be stupid enough to add 500 lbs worth of ballast just to make things more even???[&:]

Forget it guys, the Vette just has too much weight/aerodynamics advantage. Takes a good bit of HP advantage to counteract that.....and the proper tires/suspension to put it to the ground with. It's doable, but not with a stock or bolt-on Terminator. Two different classes of car here folks.

Vette will win. Even if the termie was pullied the vette would still walk away up top. Those C6s are damn fast cars
That I won't argue with. It seems that GM's are always faster up top, and Fords always have the edge out of the hole/bottom end
Man Fords slower bottom to top end.
I Love mustangs and would want to see a stang beat a vette but I have to admit Vette IS KING. I was in my friends and that thing is amazing! CRAPPY suspention but it seems to work. GREAT CAR!Its gonna take some mods to beat a c6 or c5z. SO BOW DOWN WHEN U SEEA VETTE. (unless your making crazy HP)

haha so true.... but it would be funny to see what the outcome would be! hmmmmm??? gotta find some dumb vette guys now [8D]
