Default Stock M3 vs. Mustang GT (somewhat modified)

Did some runs against my friends stock M3. I've got Flowmaster 40 mufflers, K&N FIPK, and a Diablo Tune in an '03 Mustang GT Convertible. From a 40 roll in 2nd, we were dead even. From a 60 roll in 3rd, I fell behind but pulled ahead when he shifted into 4th. Didn't get a proper test from 1st, I spun my tires and he got a good launch. Let you know what happens when we get a good 1st gear run (as in, when it's in my favor). Just thought I'd let you guys know what it take.

Yep, they make 333 hp, at 7900 rpm's, but only make 262 lb-ft of torque. According to this source anyway http://allworldcars.com/wordpress/?p=544

I owned an M3. They can run low-mid 13's with a decent driver. I ran my 2003 M3 DINAN @ 12.8 stock. They should beat moddified 2V's, and even stock 3V's, from rolls or digs.

+1..
E46 M3 are fast. I don't know how a gt with bolt ons is capable of beating a stock M3.

Sorry, he was a 1999 E36 M3 so the older version. Him and I are in a power war. Even though he has about 20 hp less than a 03 gt mustang, he's about 1000lbs. lighter and those germans get that power to the wheels pretty good with its inline 6 engine. I know I wouldn't stand a chance against the newer M3's.

+1
those german sure know how to build cars.
take the 911 for example.
they are wicked fast.
stock 911 has about 300 hp but run 0-60 in sub 5 sec.

I believe the E46 M3's trapped 105-106 stock and capable of low 13s....

Makes alot more sencein theracesthat he was in the E36 compared to a E46...
