New Eclipse Wasnt MUCH of a RACE
 

Last night I was on my way out to eat and driving pretty normal a few miles over the speed limit as usual but nothing drastic. I was on my way to Cracker Barrel for a meal. While on the road I came up to a light that was read so I got in the left hand lane because it was shorter (by the way you know guy will switch the shortest lane more then girls can remember the exact stat but that is free for the day). So I go around quite a few cars and on of them was and eclipse. Not sure what model because I really did not pay attention pretty sure it was the newest one thought body style looked like it. So I get a mile or so down the road and this eclipse comes right up on my bumper I mean if I would hit the brakes he would have hit me. Man I cant stand that. So I am still doing the speed limit and now there are no lights for miles and traffic is clear accept those right behind us. I get over into the right hand lane and he stays in the left. He comes up to pass me and I speed up to stay even with him. It looked like some teen and his girl friend. Well he decides to punch it and I decide to give it some gas but I don't even go to the floor and I just walked away buy about a car. I love it when people think they are just gonna walk me. He then thinks he is going to do a flyby and I once again put it down somewhat and stayed even then put a car on him. The eclipse was not that fast at all so what made him think he was just going to run me? Well it was fun. I don't think I put the pedal to the floor one time. He turned off a few miles up the road.

A high 12 low 13 second car should handle a 14 second car! But thats what you bought the mods for!!!:DNice kill.

Beat a ricer...and than go out to eat. Just another typical night for a Mustang owner :D

there is nothing about the new eclipse that relates to the term "Ricer". Import would be a better word for it.....


If you did not have that Vortech, he would have walked you like nothing if he was an ok driver.

A few guys in the new Eclispe GT cars have run near 14.1 stock @ 102mph... enough to beat a stock New Edge... so it's not like he was a 16 second car that had no chance.

Hell it might have been the 4-cyl Eclipse.

Yeah But I do have a vortech and he didnt walk me so that is the way it gos I walked him. If the dog didn't stop to take a crap he would have caught the rabbit too.

I got lined up against one of the new Eclipse's with the V-6, but driven by a terrible driver.
He ran a 15.330 @ 94.72 mph on a 2.627 60' (poor driver mod) to my 13.389 @ 102.04 mph on a 1.867 60'.
