I'm so pissed
 

Well I went to the track tonight (Countyline 1/8). Best I ran was a 9.797 at 71.5 MPH with a 2.2 60 Foot time. And that was the first run I had. All the other ones where damn 10's. Im so pissed. I even ran a 10.7 What ever. 9.797 is the best I've run and its not bad. Oh I killed a 2007 Honda hatchback VETECH crap what ever it was....and get this...lol on my slowest run. LOL.

Your 60 ft. time is hurting you.

You're in FWD league with that 60 ft. Some have pulled 2.0's

driver mod please! even with a 2.2 60ft you should be a lot closer at a 9.00 1/8 time. might wanna work on shifting as well as those 60fts.

Ya I know but I cant stick for some resaon. No matter what RPM I lauch at. I guess I need some new tires. They are kinda gone.

Well first off, my hats off to you for getting out there and trying. You'd be suprised how many people will comment on your thread that have never seen a drag strip before. Now if your trying to get it done on bald street tires it's not going to happen. It's hard enough when your learning your launch on good tires. Dont be afraid to go back again and practice. Not many people are good at it the first time out. You'll get alot better. Trust me.

lol my first pass ever i ran a 16.6 at 100mph i spun almost all the waydown the track. i got real nevous and dumped the clutch at 3.5k it was definatly real funny

yeah, my car was an auto my first trip to the track. not a whole to racing an auto. but yeah, did embarass myself pretty good my first time out after the 5-speed swap. it gets better. either way its fun.

more practice and better tires and you should be upper 8's in the 1/8. good luck

My first race in the skittle, I ran a 14.7 and got beat by a subie forrester.[:@] Worst part was I had bragged to my kids about how fast I was going to be. They still remind me about it even though I've went from a 14.7 to an 11.8 in the past 2 years.

My best to this day is a 2.27 or something 60ft[:@]


It doesn't get better for all of us[8D]
Mind you I only got my mustang to the track once this year (went a couple of times in my gtp)
