its pretty much a nearly stock GT. given the x-pipe and cat-back, its around 240hp.

dont forget my shift kit and tune haha jus kidding, my buddy with a bone stock 98 GT raced him and barely beat him, but yea they are sluggish off the line, those things being so heavy kills him, but yea, i had my friend there to see the whole thing, i just got sick of him telling me how he beat 2 Mach 1's, a crotch rocket, hell... and even an evo it just got real old real fast... from the 25 roll i put my cars on him between 25 and 65, then there was no more pulling, top end they are fast.

That's exactly what I'm wondering. The Mark VIIIs have 280 to 290 hp, basically a 4V Cobra motor. I can't believe a nearly stock 98GT with about 240 hp can beat it that badly.
The 98 GT has 225 hp stock, not 240. I don't know if you were counting your mods or not.
Yeah, I was counting the catback + X pipe mod.
